Six practices between Dortmund and Waltrop

Each practice has its own address, its own hours and its own strengths. Where a building is not accessible, it says so on the card — we would rather you knew before you set off.

Brick corner building housing the Westerfilde practice under bright overcast skyFlagship practice

Dortmund · In this district since 2009

REGIO Physio Westerfilde

Focus: Flagship practice — full range, equipment-assisted rehab (KGG) and long weekday hours

Westerfilde is where REGIO started in 2009 and it is still the largest of the six practices: eight treatment rooms on two floors, a 140 m² training floor for equipment-assisted rehabilitation, and a separate quiet room for lymphatic drainage. Because the S-Bahn stops three minutes away, this is the practice most patients from the northern districts pick when their own practice is fully booked.

Patient feedback from this practice

  • Shoulder after a fall. I got the same therapist for all ten sessions, which mattered more than I expected.

    Bernd K. · July 2026

  • The 7 a.m. slots mean I am at work by nine. That is the whole reason I stayed with this practice.

Rendered white townhouse on a quiet street, home to the Mengede practice on the ground floor

Dortmund · In this district since 2013

REGIO Physio Mengede

Focus: Manual therapy and manual lymphatic drainage, including post-operative oedema care

A small four-room practice in a 1920s townhouse by the old district office. Three of the four therapists here hold the manual lymphatic drainage certificate, so Mengede takes most of the post-operative and oncological oedema referrals for the whole group. It is deliberately quiet: no training floor, no background music, one patient per room.

Patient feedback from this practice

  • Lymphatic drainage after breast surgery. Calm rooms, and nobody rushed me at the door.

    Renate S. · August 2026

  • Small practice, so it books out quickly — but they told me that honestly instead of stringing me along.

Flat-roofed single-storey practice building in Huckarde with wide glazed front

Dortmund · In this district since 2016

REGIO Physio Huckarde

Focus: Sports physiotherapy and return-to-sport work with local clubs

Huckarde sits directly on the U 47 line and takes the group's sports referrals: ankles, knees and shoulders from the handball and football clubs between Huckarde and Rahm. Two of the five rooms open onto a 60 m² floor with a sled track, so the last third of a rehabilitation can be run as loaded training rather than on the couch.

Modern practice building in Castrop-Rauxel with a step-free entrance under a canopy and marked parking bays

Castrop-Rauxel · In this district since 2018

REGIO Physio Castrop-Rauxel

Focus: Neurological and geriatric physiotherapy, plus home visits across Castrop-Rauxel

The Castrop practice occupies the whole ground floor of a building put up in 2018 and was fitted out for people who move slowly: wide corridors, no thresholds, a parallel bar and a stair trainer in the largest room. Four therapists here work to Bobath or PNF certification, and two of the six rooms are kept free every afternoon for patients arriving from the neurological rehabilitation clinics. A third of this practice's appointments are home visits.

First-floor practice above a shop on Hochstraße in Waltrop, seen from the street

Waltrop · In this district since 2020

REGIO Physio Waltrop

Focus: Jaw and headache work (CMD) and decongestive therapy — the smallest practice in the group

Three rooms on the first floor of a 1960s block above a bakery, two minutes from the market square. Waltrop is the only practice in the group with a Saturday morning surgery, which is why patients from Datteln and Oer-Erkenschwick book here. The two therapists share a jaw and headache caseload: temporomandibular dysfunction, tension headache, and compression therapy after venous surgery.
